The products we use
Six coating brands and five films, from a value tier to a flagship. The same prep goes under every one of them.
Ceramic coatings
Prismax is our value coating and sets the base price on every page. 3M Ceramic is the global brand. Koch-Chemie from Germany and Labocosmetica from Italy are the premium tier, with XPEL Fusion Plus from the US above them. Gtechniq, from the UK, is the flagship.
Essential is one 9H layer of the brand you choose. Signature is layered. Both get the 24-hour indoor cure.
Paint protection films
Prismax and UltrashieldX are the value films and set the base PPF price. Garware is made in India and long established. 3M is the global brand. XPEL, from the US, is the top tier.
All five are self-healing urethane, cut to your panels, with edges tucked and seams hidden.
How we choose
The brand changes the layer on top, not the work under it. Every car gets the paint-depth reading, iron and tar decontamination, correction and a panel wipe first, whichever label goes on last.
Pick a brand in the estimate builder, or WhatsApp us to compare two. The free inspection fixes the price, and your warranty certificate and inspection reminders sit in the D24 app.
Why the brand changes the price
Prices on this site are for the value brand. Coatings run up to 40% more at the Gtechniq end of the ladder. Films: Garware is about 10% more, 3M about a third more and XPEL about 70% more. Before GST, in every case.
Questions
Paint protection: what owners ask
Which ceramic coating brand should I choose?
Prismax for the lowest price with the same prep. Gtechniq for the flagship. Koch-Chemie, Labocosmetica and XPEL Fusion Plus sit between; the estimate builder shows the price for each.
Which PPF is the value film?
Prismax or UltrashieldX. Both are self-healing urethane fitted with the edges tucked. Garware, made in India, is about 10% more.
Does a dearer brand mean less prep?
No. Inspection, decontamination, correction and the 24-hour cure are the same for every brand. You pay for the layer, not for shortcuts.
Do you use the same products on bikes?
Yes. Bike coating and tank or full PPF use the same brands, on the same price ladder.
