What paint correction is
Most dull paint isn't faded, it's scratched: thousands of fine swirls from dry wiping, brush washes and dusty cloths scatter the light. Paint correction levels the clear coat with machine polishers and graded compounds and pads, so it reflects like a mirror again.
It is not a quick polish with a filler that washes away. The defects are removed, which is why we measure paint depth first and take off only what the finish needs.
Which level does your car need?
A one-step gloss enhancement suits newer or well-kept paint. A two-stage correction (compound, then refine) is the right level for most cars that have lived on Indian roads. Multi-stage restoration is for neglected, oxidised or heavily etched paint and is quoted after inspection.
If your fingernail catches in a scratch, it has usually gone through the clear coat and needs paint, not polishing. We'll tell you honestly at inspection.
