What a ceramic coating does
A ceramic coating is a liquid that cures into a thin, hard, glass-like layer on top of your clear coat. Water beads and rolls off, dirt has less to hold on to, and bird droppings, tree sap and UV take longer to mark the paint. Washing gets quicker and the gloss lasts for years rather than weeks.
In Mangaluru the enemies are strong sun, salty air from the coast and months of monsoon water. A coating slows down fading and water spotting, and keeps the car looking freshly polished between washes.
Why we correct the paint first
A coating locks in whatever is underneath it, swirl marks included. That is why every coating at D24 Studio goes on over corrected paint: at least a one-step gloss enhancement, or a two-stage correction for cars that have lived on Indian roads for a few years. We measure paint depth on every panel before we polish.
Essential or Signature?
The Essential coat is a single layer of professional-grade 9H coating that protects for one to two years. The Signature coat is layered for three years and more of gloss, UV and salt resistance. Both include a 24 hour cure in the studio before the car goes home.

How long does a ceramic coating last in Mangalore?
Our Essential coat protects for one to two years and the Signature coat for three years and more. Coastal sun and salt shorten the life of any protection, so a maintenance wash every few weeks, which tops the coating up, keeps it performing.
Can you coat a car without polishing it?
We don't. A coating seals in swirl marks and water spots, so the paint is corrected first. For a new car a light one-step gloss enhancement is usually enough.
How much does ceramic coating cost?
For a hatchback the Essential coat starts at ₹14,400 and the Signature coat at ₹37,400, before GST, with the value brand. Bigger cars and premium brands cost more; the price menu shows every size and brand. The final price is fixed after a free inspection.
How long will the car be with you?
